Preshant Royce de Mel

Anthony Preshant Royce de Mel is a registered Loss Adjuster at IRCSL, Risk Engineer, a Chartered Engineer specialized in Mechanical Engineering, Member of IESL and IMechE (UK), and Member of Chartered Institute of Insurance,  is our Head of Mechanical Engineering, who is also seriously working towards to achieve his 3rd Chartered Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters - (UK), a Member of CILA (UK).

A product of St. Anthony’s College, Katugasthota; and St. Peters College, Bambalapitiya, Preshant de Mel commenced his professional career first as an Apprentice at Walker Sons & Company Ltd, and had climbed the professional ladder as Workshop Manager and later joined two other prominent, key leading, engineering Companies of Sri Lanka - Brown & Co. Ltd and Samuel & Sons Co. Ltd.

Mr. Preshant was exposed to working at leading insurance Companies in Sri Lanka: Union Assurance Limited and finally retired as the AGM of Ceylinco General Insurance heading the Loss Adjusting and Risk Management Department for over thirty years, and a widely known, recognized, and respected professional in the industry who possesses a highest degree of professionalism.

He had also undergone overseas training of Engineering Insurance Advance Course, Munich Re, Germany, and ERC Industrial Loss Prevention Seminar, Singapore.

Thanks to his deep exposure in Insurance, Preshant is equally well versed in machineries, and their maintenance schemes, and ready to accept challenges in Mechanical Engineering from design to implementation.
