Udaya Pieris is is a qualified Chief Engineer - Class 1 professional and Ship Surveyor is our Head of Ship Surveys and Marine Engineering, who is working towards to achieve his Chartered Qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters - CILA (UK), and also Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology; an Associate Member of IMarEST.
A product of S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavina, Mr.Udaya exposed to working with all classes of vessels, and worked at prestigious Shipping Companies. As a New Zealand qualified Professional, he possess a steady CPD (Continuation of Professional Development) and up-to-date knowledge and also Associate Member of Institute of Marine Engineering (UK).
With his profound experience and professional backgrounds, Udaya has also worked with Loss Assessors and Loss Adjusters while serving the Company he works, and also possess a vast array of experience in critical matters involving insurance claims related to ships.
Udaya having a deep practical knowledge in all Maintenance, and Risk Management, had helped COSMECX to formulate Risk Analysis software tools and dash-boards for claims management to risk management for all relevant fields in insurance or otherwise.
